Robbie Fife

First and Second Aid, 2018, acrylic, watercolour and watercolour pencil on paper, 29.5 x 36.5cm (framed), £950.

Robbie Fife’s intimate, small-scale paintings are carefully constructed, featuring an intriguing array of subjects including toy-like towers that become rockets, mysterious figures, and sharks.  A course in Indian miniaturist painting, and the architecture of the Spanish landscape have profoundly influenced Fife’s practice resulting in gently surreal works that are rich in surface pattern and narrative. This new painting on paper is being exhibited for the first time at the Thin House.

Fife graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2014 and has exhibited widely since then. He lives and works in South East London.
